During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
i think he could work not sure how powerful he actually is.. is he like slade or above like spiderman lvl power strength? over any good story can make a character shine
" @Roninidas: The Shield has been around longer than Captain America.. "
You are absolutely right; a full year earlier to be exact. However, it is a fair statement to make that he never had the success of Captan America. The only reason he is being retconned for today is an attempt to compete with Cap and his very recent Second Coming. Over the last 5years or basically Ed Brubaker's run on Captain America he breathed new life into the character steadily increasing his fan-base every month.
The Shield could be good. I will honestly never givve it a shot. I am enjoying Cap too much right now.
