Yes I am fully AWARE that Cap says he doesn't so much represent the policies of any given Administration( be it FDR's right down to "Dubya's" or more recently Barack Obama's) as the ideals of America as a whole, liberty and justice( we will ignore the fact that several signatories of the Declaration Of Independence and at least TEN Presidents of the United States beginning with George Washington my namesake owned slaves-although Washington at least ordered his "darkies" to be freed after his death), but surely he must have SOME views albeit privately held much like Supreme Court Justices or members of the armed forces about whose Administrations he privatelt agrees with and those he doesn't).

My guess is that Cap is(or in real life would be) a moderately liberal Democrat

(he could hardly be anything else having come of age during the Great Depression and the New Deal of Franklin D. Roosevelt). Iron Man is probably more conservative as one of America's wealthiest men and formerly a major defence contractor in the alter ego of Tony Stark.

I don' t think Cap even votes( esp since his secret identity as Steve Rogers has been made public) lest his politics become a talking point!

I believe Captain America to be a libertarian, a proponent of welfare and free trade, and above all things a strong believer in the inalienability of human rights.

Cap doesn't vote. I recall somewhere that he said that he never does.

I agree with you. I also believe his personal views are for individual rights and as a whole, he seems to align largely with Libertarians.

i would say he's independent. civil war makes an issue a registering superheroes and the superpowered. his refusal seems to be a conservative stance. less government.

i never thought tony conservative. he's based on the idea of peace through the biggest gun. it's a very grey area that leads to sometime contradictory stands.
