I think there was a thread like this but couldn't find it. Well, there have been rumors that a Cap. America movie could be done (possible just a lie) but it would be an awesome movie if you ask me, and the perfect actor to impersonate Steve Rogers could be Keifer Sutherland, in my opinion. I mean, the man knows how to make a good action scene (24 wouldn't be the same without him).
Captain America
Character » Captain America appears in 11750 issues.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
The perfect Captain America...
It is still in production Hell just now but there is a script and they are looking at casting now.
But Keifer is good but no chance they will be looking at a young american to play him I think you may be looking at some young unkowen will be the best bet if you ask me.
I just hope they make the Iron man movie good.
Pretty funny, hehe!. Well... if he got the balls... by the way, I thought cap's shield was made of adamantium... then I heard it was like blend of adamantium and vibranium... do they have an official statement?
Now seriously... sure, they could find a total stranger to assume the role of cap, but I think Marvel productions always want to give the part to someone famous... or way to be famous, in any case. Sure, their movies may not have the best cast (you didn't like X-Men cast?... Spiderman cast?... it can always be better!). Well, may be the best thing to do is to find someone unknown, but that's not the regular in Marvel (Ben Affleck, Tobey McGuire, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Willem Defoe, Sir Ian Mckellen, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, Collin Farrel... just to name a few examples). I stick with Keifer being Cap, he may not be that young, but that's the magic of movies.
Neither Hugh Jackman or Tobey Maguire were that well known before they played Wolverine and Spidey. Certainly not Ben Affleck or Nick Cage famous. I think they'll go with a relative unknown as Cap, but have a few majors in more minor roles. Much like Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando in Superman or Patrick Stewart in X-Men. I have no idea who they'll go for if they do go for a famous face though.
They could make the true story of Cap America. The first Cap America played by Michael Clark Duncan.
Sling Shot says:
"They could make the true story of Cap America. The first Cap America played by Michael Clark Duncan."
I agree, but not Micheal Duncan, he's getting to old.
Brad Pitt....think a mix of his definition in fight club and his mass in Troy. A bit of CG to turn back the years on his face a bit and give him a patriotic glow. Failing that Will Smith as Isiah Bradley.
Deep Blue says:
"Photon says:"They did make a Captain America movie. It was horrible. 1"Wasn't that like a TV special?... anyway, I remember that one... totally horrible, that's for sure!. Just like Hulk's "movies" with special feature of Thor... LAME!
"
Correction, they made 3 Captain American movies
The first two were extremely low budget

Wow, you can see the quality of the vibranium in that shield.
