I'm hoping that's part of the Marvel Zombies line, otherwise that's just bad taste.

I think it might be. You can see where his head was chopped in half on the action figure.

Guess they're serious about Captain America being dead. They're releasing a dead Cap figure. Probably the chase figure. Looks like you can even see where he got shot in the gut.

Weeell they do seem to be milking this. I like how they said they didn't have plans to do a second printing. Yeah, sure. And notice how issue #26 isn't coming out until late May so they can do all the Fallen Son one-shots. Between the Civil War spin-offs and now the Cap is Dead stuff, Marvel's marketing division is going into overtime. Maybe they'll make a "Aunt May in a Coma" figure next. I think it's in bad taste that they even "killed" him off in the first place. We all feel it's a cheap ploy to sell more comics.

Maaaaybe. But also I'm pretty sure issue #26 is called "The Autopsy." I'm no doctor but don't they sometimes check out the old noggin? Probably Tony Stark wanted to know what affects the Super Soldier Serum had on his brain.

I don't know why they kill of major characters, we all know they won't stay dead. I was no more likely to buy Cap #25 than I was #24 (I didn't buy either) because I know its just a marketing thing. If you want me to buy a comic, sell it on it's own merit and not cheap gimmicks.

I wonder what the packaging will look like for this figure. Will they include the sniper? Sharon? The steps of the courthouse he fell on?

Thats actually part of the Marvel Zombies line of action figures its just a coincidence that they come out at the same time. I think the next one is Zombie Hulk or someone else.
