I couldn't possibly care less if he came out of the grave right now started doing the Charleston and started sing "Rock the Casbah" in Swahili !
Captain America
Character » Captain America appears in 11752 issues.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
Captain America Reborn, The Return Of Steve Rogers!
I know this story - just like any other comic book story - is just a story, but I'm at a point to say who cares? Barry Allen was dead for something like 20 years. His death made a difference. Same with Bucky. There was a reason for both barry's and Bucky's deaths. What reason was there to bring either of them back? To make money off selling books? Steve Rogers has been dead only a couple of years. There should be a conscious choice - dead or alive. Pick one and stick with it. Apparently the only meaningful death in comics is still Uncle Ben Parker.
I can't really blame them for wanting to bring Steve-o back to life. It just adds to the plot, and makes for an appropriate way to deal with Norman and his posse. I predict that Steve's gonna beat the crap out of Norman (or kill him...take your pick). Given the desperation of the Marvel Universe in its current state, it does kinda make sense that liberty needs a proper hero and a strong leader that they can only get in Steve. Obviously Bucky isn't really stepping up to the plate.
As far as Marvel's infatuation with bringing back the dead goes, I don't think it's as big a deal as people make it out to be. Jean Grey is the Phoenix, and the Phoenix always rises from the ashes. That's what it does, if nothing else. It's kinda like the setting of the sun, or the changing of the tides. It just happens perpetually. The others are still dead. It's just that the Marvel Universe needs Captain America in these dark times.

Did Sharon Really Kill Steve? Will her Baby Play a part in this? What about Bucky? Is Steve Really Coming Back? - Be Reborn on 7/1/09
i think it should be his offspring. his clone or shild named steve, brought up from birth. They can show how the new steve acts compared to the old on since they are in different eras. The world is totally different.
i know hat is stated above alot of people wont like but i never knew steve rogers befroe he died. I didnt read comics back than and i was just flat out young.
no i like buky cap
The Return of Steve Rogers, Captain America!!! and from the looks of that video, Steve may be getting a new suit!
Come on guys, Did anyone really think Steve was going to stay dead, Popular comic book characters come back thats just how it works, although I would have prefered he stay dead, I enjoy Bucky Cap, I never bought one issue of captain america when steve was at the helm, And Bucky Caps Uniform is way cooler than the original, something about the weird fish scale thing on steves uniform never sat right with me, The one upside is people can stop giving Tony such a hard time.
Erupting from the groin of Steve Rogers' Captain America like some million-watt blast of incandescent solar flare comes... Dr. Phosphorous or someone???...
I like that cover image better than the Quesada Cap struggling-to-pass-a-deuce cover.
"...Must...Crap...Harder!!!!..."
It will be evil, bigot 50s Cap joining the Dark Avengers. You just watch.
Brubaker talks about angry Bush-vote America not having its say in today's America and being relegated to the shadows in Obama's New World Order and that while he doesn't empathize with it, he can get in the head of that side of the argument and 50s Cap's head.
50s Nutjob Cap will find his place in Osborn's America standing for what HE believes in alongside the Dark Avengers. It's the flipside of Iron Man being the baddie and Cap standing up for justice in the Civil War era.
Now Shellhead is fighting for what's right and 'Cap' is siding with the oppressors.
Wait...didn't thor talk to steve's sprite after he was dead for a year? He should stay dead? or at least come back temprary
I feel like this is Marvel's way of cashing in on the upcoming Cap movie. Whenever a major movie is released about a character, something happens within the Marvel U to reflect that. Like when Spider-Man 3 came out, they did Back in Black. When Rise of the Silver Surfer came out they brought Surfer and Galactus back for a quick arc in the Fantastic Four series. They were sure to make Iron Man the most important character in the MU before that movie came out, and then they gave him like 3 new titles. Not that I'm complaining, I think it's kind of cool. I'm just pointing out the fact that it would be kind of bad for Marvel if a major movie came out about a character who is dead in the comics continuity. Here's looking forward to Reborn. They'll make it work.
I think that Marvel is bringing him back at the right time actually. They have been doing the whole, "Bucky adjusting to being Captain America" for a little while. Not saying he has to stop being Captain America just cause Steve is back. But now that DC has killed off Batman and now have someone adjusting to being Batman, Marvel is taking the story to the next step. They are bring back the original.
He should stay dead
Second that. Besides Flash, CA is my favorite superhero. I was crushed when he died. However, I maybe the only fan who believes that it was good death. And he is more of a ledgend dead. I can see may a few years down the road but d@mn has it even been a year yet?
THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. Don't get me wrong, i love captain america. Steve Rogers has been one of my favorites for a long time now. but this whole killing off and bringing back stuff just isnt right. they clearly killed him off, then had follow up comics to drill into the reader that Cap is really dead. Personally, i think if marvel or dc doesnt have the guts to keep one of their A-list characters dead, they shouldnt kill them off in the first place.
If this is actually the real Steve Rogers..I'm not reading Cap anymore.

Wan't the whole point of Civil War ending that Steve made a sacrafice--that it was better to give up what he fought for then have the nation become torn apart.
Won't Steve be just a little mad at Bucky. I mean, his death wish was that everyone register, and now one of the two people he trained stole his shield and directly disobeyed him.
Maybe this will be a good thing, though. Steve could be the one to take out Norman Osborn--and he might save the life of Stark.
Shouldn't this be part of Dark Reign?
PS: What is everyone's problem with Tony Stark?

Hasn't anybody here actually read what came out today? I would have had I been in the store. Doesn't it tell all?
