    Please, use your words

I begin this review with a long sigh. Anyone who has ever glanced at my profile knows who my favorite hero is and seeing what is currently going in his run has left me questioning if I love the character enough to keep reading. I was anxious to see where this story went and honestly, already, I'm questioning if I care. My biggest complaint is that Remender is bending the history to fit what he wants in the story. Things we know about Cap`s family are changing. I know continuity is dead but please, this is a bad change. As for the actual story it feels weird to me. It's been a year since the events of issue 1`s final panel and things for Steve are bad. Worst of all, and a big complaint of mine is he can't use pronouns. Instead of "I have to run" its "Have to run" which is no big deal, until it happens in EVERY sentence. That aside I just felt like the book was dry, I honestly just wanted the book over and I can't explain it, it was just weak to me even when there was action.

As for art, well, its the best I have seen from Romita Jr. but that doesn't say much. He has changed a few things in this issue, such as Cap`s uniform. If you're a fan of his, you will love it but not liking his work anyway, I just don't care for it.

With all said and done I think the issue is a blah issue and I will probably forget the story by the next issue. It has some good moments but just felt really weak and Cap just does not fit what is happening.

Captain America has became one of my favourite characters over the last few years, mainly due to Ed Brubaker's run. I am however happy that someone as talented as Rick Remender has taken over from him. Remender has truly been one of the writers that I have enjoyed reading from over the last year, and I'd say he's been the best writer overall over the last year, along side Scott Snyder.PlotThis issue is set 1 year after the first, and Captain America is still in Dimension Z. He has looked after I...

Yup, form the dark themes, the tragic flashbacks and caps new friend, we can clearly see that this book has definitely Remender's mark on it. i'll admit i was kind of skeptical about the whole extra dimensional themes, especially since we haven't seen cap involved something like this before, but damn, one of Rick Remender strong suits are undoubtedly introducing new and exciting elements to the book. The story is amazing, cap and his new friend called Ian are on a quest for survival, and we see ...
