    One Year Later 0

Unexpectedly, this issue does not exactly continue the events of the previous one. The whole thing takes place a year later. First thing I noticed was Ian's (the kid) size. He looked like a newborn to me in the last issue, but now he is looking like a six year old with hair bigger than Mowgli's. But that's just a minor fact. Throughout the issue Captain America struggles to keep both alive, as we see well done monologue. The Dimension Z scenario is very interesting and reminded me a bit of Venda...

    Please, use your words 2

I begin this review with a long sigh. Anyone who has ever glanced at my profile knows who my favorite hero is and seeing what is currently going in his run has left me questioning if I love the character enough to keep reading. I was anxious to see where this story went and honestly, already, I'm questioning if I care. My biggest complaint is that Remender is bending the history to fit what he wants in the story. Things we know about Cap`s family are changing. I know continuity is dead but pleas...

Star Wars And Captain America Make A Good Mix. 0

Yup, form the dark themes, the tragic flashbacks and caps new friend, we can clearly see that this book has definitely Remender's mark on it. i'll admit i was kind of skeptical about the whole extra dimensional themes, especially since we haven't seen cap involved something like this before, but damn, one of Rick Remender strong suits are undoubtedly introducing new and exciting elements to the book. The story is amazing, cap and his new friend called Ian are on a quest for survival, and we see ...

Remender going in an interesting direction 0

The story starts of one year after the last issue ended. I neat trick which makes the relationship between Cap and Ian a bit believable. They have been surviving in dimension z together and Cap mentions repercussions of the experiments Zola performed on him.   After that intro the story really takes of into an actionfilled chase scene where Captain America is fighting of some rather Kirbyesque creations which are trying to capture Cap and Ian and bring them to Zola. We get a very Star Wars-influ...

    Time works different here 0

So this comic throws a curve ball right at the start with 3 little words "one year later". Got to admit I didn't expect that one. It raises some questions about just how the heck Cap is active in so many books during all this, but I can only guess that it will be hand waved as dimension shift time later on. Story wise this issue is a bit dull, mostly focusing Cap's problems trying to protect Ian in the deadly wilderness of Dimension Z. We get some nice little flashbacks which I'm sure I'd notice...

Continues to be a fun read 0

The first issue of this series was good in writing in was excellent in art it wasn’t so good and had problems but I was enjoying the story immensely and was excited for this series and hoped the art would be better than the last issue.Plot1 year after Captain America is lost in Dimension Z he and Ian are camping out in Dimension Z they need food and have to start moving before a sandstorm hit. Soon after they start moving they are attacked by some of the natives of Dimension Z. In 1926 Steve Rog...

    Trapped in Dimension Z 1

Captain America has became one of my favourite characters over the last few years, mainly due to Ed Brubaker's run. I am however happy that someone as talented as Rick Remender has taken over from him. Remender has truly been one of the writers that I have enjoyed reading from over the last year, and I'd say he's been the best writer overall over the last year, along side Scott Snyder.PlotThis issue is set 1 year after the first, and Captain America is still in Dimension Z. He has looked after I...
