Candice Catnipp (キャンディス・キャットニップ, Kyandisu Kyattonippu) is an antagonist of the BLEACH series that was created by Tite Kubo, It first began serialization Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2001. She was first introduced during the The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc that began in Volume 55.

She first appeared in BLEACH Volume ?? CH. 544 "Walking With Watchers".

Thousand Year Blood War Arc

Candice Catnipp first appears in Bambietta's room after she kills a soldier and complains about Bambietta killing another soldier. After the Vandenreich invade Sereiteit once more, Candice's wings pops out and this shocks her. She, Giselle, Liltotto and Meninas later surround the defeated Bambieta.

Candice Catnipp and the rest confront Kenpachi Zaraki. Candice attacks him and Kenpachi attacks her but she dodges and electrocutes him before blasting him with more electricity. This immobilizes Kenpachi and the four girls decided on how they kill Kenpachi. She is later shocked by the arrival of Ichigo Kurosaki. She attacks him while he is talking to Kenpachi but Ichigo reacts by throwing her into a nearby building.

This enrages Candice(because her apperance is ruined) and the two proceeds to battle with Candice activating Volstandig. During the course of the battle, Candice unleashes "Electrocution" and Ichigo fires a Getsuga Jujisho and Candice attempts to counter it with her arm, she succeeds in doing so but loses an arm in the process. Giselle later restores her arm and before she can continue her match with Ichigo, she is pierced by Bazz B's Burner Finger. She quickly gets up and turns her attention to Ichigo Kurosaki but the shinigami arrive and she fights with Byakuya and is defeated.

Her fate is left unknown.

Powers & Abilities

Spirit Energy Manipulation

Being a Quincy, Candice possesses the ability to absorb spiritual energy(or reishi) from her environment and combine it with her own for a variety of uses, including forming weapons. She has an easier time doing this in areas with higher concentrations of spiritual energy.

Super Speed

Like most skilled Quincys, Candice is able to employ Hirenkyaku, a technique in which the user moves at high speeds by riding on spirit energy condensed under their feet.

Superhuman Durability and Resilience

Candice has high enough durability to easily survive being thrown into a building by Ichigo Kurosaki with little to no injuries, and is resilient enough to almost immediately get up and be ready to fight after being pierced by Bazz-B's Burner Finger 1. She also is a practitioner of the Quincy Volstandig, which is quite taxing on one's stamina.

The Thunderbolt

Candice can create, control, and manipulate electricity, mainly in the form of lightning bolts. She usually generates the electricity in her hands and points it at the area she wants to direct it. Her blasts are easily strong enough to kill multiple Soul Reapers and immobilize a wounded Kenpachi Zaraki. Her control over electricity even goes as far as having the ability to shift her body into electricity to avoid attacks.

Power Item

Candice possesses a spirit short bow as her primary weapon. She keeps it collapsed in a heart shaped capsule on the side of her belt, when the heart is pressed, the bow pops out, quickly assembling over her head. The heart forms the center of the bow, while the arms are shaped like lightning bolts. She pulls back on a string composed of spiritual energy to fire.

Heilig Pfeil

With her bow she can fire the standard Quincy Heilig Pfeil, or Holy Arrows. Adding her power, she can imbue these arrows with electricity, making their damage level dramatically increase.

Galvano Blast

Another projectile Candice fires from her bow, a Galvano Blast contains 5 gigajoules of electricity, a power which she claims can turn opponents to dust.

Quincy

An extremely advanced Quincy technique that amplifies the users powers an by an extremely large margin, its affects vary between users. Candice's Volstandig release is accompanied by an explosion of electricity. She gains six lightning bolts on her back shaped like wings, a star shaped halo of electricity, and a thread of electricity crackling around her body. Her Volstandig's abilities include:

• The ability to fly at high speeds
• Swords-Candace can detach each wing to use as swords, she is capable of dual wielding, and each 'wing' regenerates immediately. Strikes from these sword are powerful enough to send opponents flying back.
• Galvano Javelin-Candace can throw each sword as an electricity javelin with enough power to cancel out a Getsuga Tenshou.
• Electrocution-Candice points one arm up, gathering electricity which surges around her. The energy is concentrated around her arm, also radiating around her eyes, and throws it at her opponent in the form of a massive blast of electricity. This is her strongest known technique.
