    There is a case for more then one character to be the balance. I believe the writer want to leave it open to interpretation and individual fans. So they wont just come out and say it. 
    Having said that. I'm going to say something I always say when talking Star Wars. Retcon Midi-Chlorians out of Star Wars!!!!!
