Skottie Young's run of covers on Cable and Deadpool were terrific. In fact, Skottie Young doing pretty much anything is terrific. He has a kind of cartoon-y style that nevertheless he mixes up between very clean, Disney-esque images (see, for example, his cover for Cable & Deadpool 37, Deadpool with the Rhino) and then the above style which seems to rely on a lot of charcoal and rough pencilling (contrast his recent run on New X-Men, with the Illyanna Rasputin storyline done in the former format with the follow up done in the latter). I could have included five or six of his Cable & Deadpool covers (37 and 38 both came very close to inclusion). However, the above is one of my favourites. I love his OTT Brother Voodoo. Very creepy.

I have ranked this cover no 226 as part of a long term project I am producing on my own blog 'marvel-ous' on blogspot.com re: my favourite marvel comic book covers. Please visit http://dmstarz.blogspot.com and check out the other covers that have made my top 250.
