Let's all cheer for Toy Story 3!  I am happy and excited over seeing the next movie.  Last October, I took my daughter to see the double feature of Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3-D.  I know some people aren't too crazy about the current 3-D movies.  I don't mind them.  They can be fun.  I don't believe it's crucial to enhance the movie-going experience but that just seems to be the direction that most animated movies will be taking from now on.

It has been announced that Toy Story 3 will not only be in 3-D but is also getting The IMAX Experience.  The movie hits theaters on June 18, 2010.

The story deals with Andy getting ready to leave for college.  Woody, Buzz and the other toys are worried about what that will mean for their future.  They mistakenly end up in a pre-school full of grubby little kids.  Now the toys must make their way back to Andy's home.

I will definitely be seeing this when it opens.  I'm not sure if I'll make the trek to see it in IMAX.  There's still something about IMAX movies that I'm not crazy about.  Maybe I'm in the minority here since most people seem to get excited over them.  Does the announcement of an IMAX release excite you?  Are you going to see this movie or have you had enough with the first two?

    Update

It's been announced on ABC Family's website that on Sunday, December 20 at 8:30/7:30 central, there will be a 'first look' at Toy Story 3 during their broadcast of The Incredibles.

Not concerned about it being in IMAX or in 3D for that matter... I'm just happy that there is another Toy Story movie coming our way =D

I'm going to see this. Toy Story is straight from my childhood, so this should be enjoyable.

Same here. I'm a little bummed out at the premise of this one. Sounds kind of sad. But it will be good to see Toy Story again.

@DH69: 1 and 2 were just re-released in theaters last October in 3-D.  There's also the Boom! Kids comics and I see tons of Toy Story toys at the store.
