    Origin

    Butcher Baker was once a normal man; however, he was chosen as a test subject for a new scientific procedure. This procedure involved the transplant of a new, genetically modified heart, into the body of the subject. This heart, known as the engine heart, increased Butcher's physical abilities allowing him to become a super soldier, a super hero, serving the American government for the so called greater good.

    Creation

    Butcher Baker was created by Joe Casey and Mike Huddleston the self titled series, 'Butcher Baker, the Righteous Maker'.

    Major Story Arcs

    Butcher Baker, the Righteous Maker: Volume One

    Brought out of retirement, Butcher is tasked with blowing up a maximum security prison for meta-humans, also known as the Crazy Bin. Unfortunately for Butcher, several of his greatest foes survive the attack and begin hunting him down. Butcher successfully fends of an attack from White Lightning which results in her death. Not soon after he's tracked down by three more of his old enemies, Angerhead, El Sushi, and Abominable Snowman. A brawl ensues in the middle of a populated area, resulting in massive casualties and the arrival of the U.S. Military. Their interference grants Butcher the distraction he needed to gain the upper hand on his foes, killing them all and escaping to a location known as Club Med. Butcher isn't safe for long as another old enemy of his, Jihad Jones, tracks him down and captures him. In the hands of Jones he's tortured and reminded of how he killed Jones's old sidekick, Jet Boy. Butcher eventually escapes from his confines and begins to fight back against Jones, but the interference of a persistence cop known as Arnie B. Willard prevents it from going as planned. Butcher eventually teams up with Arnie and kills Jones. Now angry at the men that betrayed him, the government, he tasks himself with the mission of killing them all, a mission that ends in mystery.

    Powers & Abilities

    Butcher's genetically altered heart, the Engine Heart, allows him to sustain large amounts of pain and increases his physical abilities, turning him into a low level superhuman.
