ORIGIN

The man who would become Bushmaster was Bernal Rojas who was a world renowned herpetologist from Caracas, Venezuela. He had studied reptiles from all over the world and copied their abilities into his exo-costume using bionics. His exo-costume contained various weapons/gadgets that enabled him to duplicate the abilities of numerous reptiles.

Donning the somewhat garish exo-costume Bernal would enter the international superhero scene as the Bushmaster, becoming Venezuela's leading crime fighting hero.

A short time after his initial adventuring Bushmaster would be one the original founding members of the Global Guardians. This worldwide organization lead by the mysterious Dr.Mist and based out of the Dome became a staple in his crime fighting career. Becoming part of the bigger picture would send Bushmaster into all sorts of bizarre around the world adventures with his teammates. From local crime cartels to intergalactic invaders and even fighting alongside the Justice League and Infinity Inc.

He was shot and killed by robbers while battling Fain Y'onia

POWERS AND ABILITIES

His unique exo-costume allowed Bushmaster to duplicate various reptilian abilities, it has been seen to do the following feats:

Fly with "flying dragon wings"

Run across water

Special lenses in hood give him a wide range of vision, including infra-red vision

Boots and gloves contain suction cups allowing him to walk on walls

Carries a venom-gun that shoots a tranquilizer

Chameleon cloaker allows him to blend with surrounding, making him practically invisible

Terrapin shell

Costume equipped with sensors to detect heat and light
