FREE, save eight dollars and learn Bullseye's non-official name!!

One of my most favorite things within the Marvel Universe is none other than the somewhat “mysterious” villain known as Bullseye. However I’m convinced that the term “mysterious” it’s just a writer’s brain fart that never produced properly when handling a character like Bullseye.

Seriously, it’s not hard coming up with a detailed story that slightly exposes the TRUE origin of our beloved cold-blooded assassin. But for some reason this two-part short story never focused on the main character at all, you can clearly tell how Charlie Huston didn’t put quite enough basic attention towards Bullseyes character. If you’re like me and you’re a HUGE fan for top-rated badguys within the Marvel Universe, you can easily see what I mean when you start getting the feeling that something isn’t right. Of course I do like the idea of Bullseye trying to cure his abnormal curse of pure boredom by perfecting his skills through means of something else than assassination and killing. But knowing how Bullseye is and his history within the Marvel Universe, this short story about him and Baseball just doesn’t quite fit in anywhere perfectly. Somewhere before he got that pointless tattoo above his forehead, this one year took place. And realizing that, the ending, the story, and everything that nearly involved Bullseye were absolutely pointless and meaningless.

Oh, you do get a special treat at the end of this enduring story that’s being told from watered down no-life drunk. You get a full name for Bullseye; it’s not official seeing that Bullseye called himself that after dedicating a full year for Baseball. But that’s the piss poor treat you get for this storyline, is a name that isn’t official.

For Eight Dollars, you get to hear about Baseball, a pointless non-supporting story for Bullseye, and be rewarded with an unofficial name…

I know Spoilers are bad, but to save a fan from enduring this two part pile donkey crap crapper of a s**ty story.

Matt Hobson,……… so generous I can be to save a well respected fan eight dollars for something not rightfully worth the time or money.

So lies with the question that I found myself pondering with, what purpose does this story serve? A very simple question seeing how this comic clearly isn’t a stranger towards the game of Baseball.

    Baseball, Baseball, baseball, and baseball.

A comic that clearly focuses more on Baseball than anything else. Baseball with Bullseye thrown right into it. NO action, NO basic Marvel Knights storyline, and NO Daredevil (even though he’s the audience at the very end). Reading this two-part Perfect Game did have somewhat of a crafty idea, with a Noir artist like Shawn Martinbrough, and potential for a decent story for Bullseye, I guess Huston here only wanted to focus on Baseball being explained, not told, but explained by some watered down drunk.

Save your eight dollars, Bullseye went by the name Matt Hobson, Daredevil gets Hobsons trading card at the end, and Bullseye gets cheated for his pointless goal to be the best pitcher. Non-rec me for Spoilers, I could careless, but this comic seriously went the wrong way trying to disguise itself using Bullseye, despite the small amount of craftiness shared with this storyline.

Hardly worth it’s proper rating for stars or even a rating at all.

So Bullseye: Perfect Game gets the lowest rating that Comicvine would allow me to give. Thankyou for reading, hope you enjoy saving eight dollars for something pointless, and be sure to avoid this two-part pile of beer guzzling baseball crap.
