It's hard to believe that Buck Rogers In The 25th Century has been around since 1928. I have to admit that I really dug the 1979 series with Gil Gerard and Erin Gray. I still remember they had (will have?) these cool domes that sit over your head when you lie down for bed. All you had to say was "I wanna go to bed" and instantly you're asleep. No more sleepless nights. The only thing that bothered me about the show was how quickly he adapted to being in the future.

It was reported earlier this year that James Cawley and his Cawley Entertainment Company got the rights to the character. The plan is to create a web series based on the property. It was also reported that Gil Gerard himself will be part of the series and it will begin in 2010. A teaser trailer has been released. Even though it doesn't show much, it does give you a sense of the 'vibe' the series should have. Check it out:

I use to love watching the reruns of Buck back when Sci-Fi channel was good.

Not making a Ledger joke, but man I wish they had one of those dome things so Ledger would still be alive. Wish some of the fictional things that we see were real.

Well lets hope that this series won't suck like Flash Gordan did on Sci-Fi. Cause man was I disappointed.
