Bruce Wayne - The Road Home: Gotham CIty Sirens
The Good: I love the idea of The White Casebook.
The plot developments with VIcki Vale were a pretty shocking twist.
Catwoman's interaction with The Insiderwas really interesting considering what each of them knows and doesn't know.
The art was pretty good, it got a bit odd around the middle, but at the end it was excellent.
Harley's involvement was a really fun twist, and with Ivy there it pretty much filled the missing Gotham City Siren quota for this month.
The Bad: Seriously? You have a connecting cover image to span 8 issues and you come up with this? Each character in some fairly normal pose with a bunch of bats and some watercolor in the background? HUGE WASTE OF CONNECTING COVER IMAGE.
Poison Ivy was acting really out of character. I know she's an eco terrorist but even she knows the meaning of subtlety and patience. She's at some crazy mob and supervillain auction for gods sake. You don't need to go flying off the handle into murder mode the first time you see one cut slower, and she's smart enough to know that.
The whole thing with the Pink Mynx was an entirely too convenient plot device.
Bruce's narration at the end seemed a little off, and a little out of character.
In Conclusion: 3/5
It's a decent self contained story, and it makes a big development in the overall Road Home storyline with Vicki Vale, and the emotional stuff was also good, but the whole thing just feels a bit forced. I enjoyed it for the most part, but it felt like something was missing, and some of the characters seemed a bit off compared to usual.
