Plot Summary
The event of the year concludes! Just like FIRST BORN before it, the outcome of BROKEN TRINITY will affect the Top Cow Universe forever.
The mini-series lives up to its name as the trinity of Witchblade, The Darkness and The Angelus is broken when a character dies, causing an upset in the balance between Light and Dark. But amidst all this destruction, there is creation. The entire Top Cow Universe hangs in the balance as one story ends…and some new ones begin.

The last major arc, First Born dealt with life. This one deals with a death. Things sure got crazy last issue. With all the destruction going on, it's easy to see how the major characters are all in danger of getting killed. You can see some of the action from this issue in the preview posted here. I will not say who dies but I did have my theory before the story started. I don't think I ever voiced my theory since I don't like ruining things. I will say my theory was wrong and leave it at that.
This issue was an explosive finale. A fitting end to the story arc. Things end for some of the characters (yes, more than one), but things are also just beginning for others. Ron Marz and Stjepan Sejic (along with Phil Hester) gave us an amazing ride. The art is amazing as always. The realistic character builds along with, what looks like, special fx make the pages come alive. Marz is continuing to weave the tale of the 13 Artifacts. Some more information is revealed. It looks like we'll soon be seeing and learning more about them. I know I'm anxiously awaiting to hear more.
With the end of this issue, I'm now wondering what will come next. I have a feeling in my gut that things are going to get a lot worse for our favorite characters before they get better. It's like there's a dark storm brewing on the horizon. I do think that Broken Trinity did what it set out to accomplish. Despite being the end of the story, the stage has been set for the next event. I'm hoping I'll have a front row seat for that.
