    Kind of a let down...

Brilliant was a book I was really excited for but ultimatley was let down with...
    Good
The book has the potential to be good and the basic idea is great. Mark Bagley's art is amazing here it's slightly different then usual which is pretty good it's still the same awesome Bagley art.  Amadeus is definitley not a hero which is great to see a book with no hero. It's also as realistic as a comic could be(with the exception of diologue). Also I like the back cover.
    BAD!!!!
Bendis can't pull of swearing in this book. Amadeus swears alot in this book which wouldn't be bad at all if it was written in a believable way. After reading Kick Ass 2 Mark Millar definitley pulls off swearing it feels more realistic there but here it seems more like Bendis attempting to replicate Mark Millar but ultimatley failing. There's also a scene with robots fighting and honestly I felt it was lame and the pop-culture refrences didn't really do much for me. I felt that two was trying to hard to be like Kick Ass too! Also the cliffhanger is...well um kinda confusing and doesn't really get me excited for #2 . The main reason I gave it a 3.5 is Bagley it was a 3 but Bagley's art got it an extra .5
Overall the only reason I'll get #2 is because of Ultimate Spider-Man.

When I first heard about this series I knew I was going to pick it up. With those two guys names on it and the awesome looking cover for the first issue, I was sold.  Bendis begins by introducing us to the series main protagonist (Amadeus). We see him enter the bank and tell the woman behind the glass to g...

Brilliant? Not yet. Exciting? Oh yes. 0

When a guy who has taken the semester of university returns to the dorms, he gets involved in a project his friends have been working on: They’re inventing superpowers. The Good:The premise is very, very interesting. The fact that the book is not set in the regular Marvel universes makes it all the more exciting, because we have absolutely no idea what will happen. And that’s precisely why I’ll keep reading it.Mark Bagley really outdoes himself on this book. I usually like his art, but here I’ve ...
