I think Batman is going to be asked by the White Lantern to be the new guardian and he will refuse. The White Lantern says a new protector of earth must "rise". In the Geoff Johns spotlight at Comic-con Geoff was asked if we'd see Batman refusing any more rings in Brightest Day like he did in Sinestro Corps. War and he said you'll see something like that. I'd like to see Bruce Wayne offered the WL ring for sure.
