The Good: An actually accurate cover compared to some of the first few in this series. Queen Shrike is BADASS with those metal wings of hers. Because they only focus on three (really two) of the five stories, we get a lot more development in each of them. SPOILER ALERT: There's another Green Martian!!!! :END ALERT Some crazy plot stuff about Hawkworld and Thanagar, which is probably more awesome if you know anything about Hawkman and Hakwgirl; but I don't and it was still awesome. Did I mention ...

After being subjected to the pleasantry that is issue #7 in Brightest Day, along comes Issue #8 to build upon the hype generated on the previous issue. And now, with a fierce Hawkgirl cover to accompany the book, can Issue #8 maintain the momentum long enough? Will all the plots become clearer? Grab your pair of wings, guys, and fly on over to my review of Brightest Day #8.  The Good  Now that's a face of shock. As for the main story, it gives a little recap that, surprisingly enough, was sh...

My Favorite Brightest Day Yet! 0

The art and story in this Brightest Day are the best of the series.  If this is the way the series is going, then I am in for the long haul.  The branched stories that appeared in previous Brightest Day issues finally come together in this issue.  I was both impressed and delighted.  If you haven't been reading Brightest Day you might find this issue a little strange.  But if you have been reading it; then you will find much satisfaction in this one.  I certainly can't wait for what is next in s...

J'onn goes into her mind to see who what the green martian looked like and what happened. Back at Hawkworld Carter and the lionmen find out more about each ot...

    Brightest Day #8 0

SummaryThis is a Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter issue. Martian Manhunter explores Martian Girl’s mind to find out more about the elusive killer and Hawkman rallies a rescue attempt to save Hawkgirl from her captor. What I liked· The subplots: Brightest Day seems to be focusing on two sub-plots per issue. Both the Martian Manhunter and Hawkman/Hawkgirl stuff covers a lot of ground in this issue, with Martian Manhunter finally realising who, or what, the murderer is and with Hawkgirl disco...
