I wrote an open letter to comic books after the death of Cap. Mind you, I was drinking whiskey, so I bleeped out the ridiculous cussing:

Dear Comic Books.....

First off, you killed Ted Kord (Blue Beetle) and replaced him with a lame (ouch!) teenager. Then, you killed Booster Gold... and brought him back a month or two later.... you'll probably just kill him again anyway...

Last year, you killed off 3 (yikes!) awesome Avengers; Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Hawkeye & The Vision....

And now look what you've (OH NO!) done to me... You've killed an American Icon, one of my favorite superheroes since I was a god (LOOK OUT!) child. You killed Captain America, the best (HEY HEY HEY!) hero ever... I haven't got to read it yet, but the news spread like wildfire... I get to read it this Saturday before practice though

Here's this week's run-down of what's coming in.

Marvel is giving us another Amazing Spider-Man.  That means more Jackpot and we finally get to see this new Menace.  The big debate is, is Jackpot really MJ?  I'm leaning more towards no.  They've gone all these years not having her be super-powered.  There was that one annual where she "had" spider-powers.  But that wasn't real.

New Avengers is showing us that things are going to be a little rocky between Luke and Jessica.  I guess her going to the "other side" to register isn't going to sit so well with him.  Hopefully we'll get another nugget in the Skrull Invasion.  Is little Danielle a Skrull?  Is Jessica?  Don't forget Captain Marvel is already sold out with Diamond.

Don't forget X-Force #1.  And you know I'll be getting the ClanDestine hardcover.  Marvel does a great job on these.  Obviously you know how much I love Alan Davis by now.  I highly recommend you pick this up if you can find it.  Issue #1 came out last week.

Looks like Dark Horse just has three this week: BPRD 1946#2, Evil Dead #2, and Goon #21 (yay!).

In the Other category, I hope Spooks from Devil's Due is coming out this week.  I'm looking forward to reading Larry Hama's writing.  Not sure what happend to Madame Mirage.  It was listed to be released last week.  No signs this week.  Then again, I haven't received my copy from Top Cow yet anyways...

Looks like I'll be picking up 27 comics this week.  Plus the ClanDestine Hardcover.  Yikes.
