Plot Summary

Overview

This is it! The DEATH of BOOSTER GOLD!! And nothing will ever be the same aga...wait. We already tried to kill him? Really? Well, in this issue Booster Gold heads back to the Old West and runs into Jonah Hex. You know, that crazy looking gunfighter! But what does Jonah Hex have that Booster desperately needs? Plus: the Death of Jonah Hex!!

What? We can't kill him either? Well, someone's going to fall off a horse at least!*

Spoilers

Booster confronts Daniel Carter about having lost the Super Nova suit, and he replies that someone stole it. Rip, and Booster hop into the time sphere and go after Super Nova,they look at the Superman's death certificate and discover that someone altered his birth parents time line, so that Lionel Luthor would find Kal's ship in Smallville, and that Lex would kill Kal when he found out he was Superman. Booster asks Rip how he can stop this form happening Rip tells him the only way is to talk to who Supernova's talked to. Sure enough he finds himself in Kansas city and meets a man named Jonah Hex. Booster asks him questions and he tells him if he out drinks Jonah than he will answer any questions that Booster has. During that time a young man tries to interrupt Jonah telling him that he has killed his step-brother but Jonah throws a glass at him and he gets knocked out, Michael and Jonah become friends and he agrees to answer his questions. Jonah asks him why he's doing this and Booster says its to help a friend and he has a flashback to infinite crisis where we discover that James Reyes is the Blue Beetle. Jonah takes Booster to the house of Doctor Westfield, and then Supernova attacks. Booster and him go at it for a very long time until he disappears into a wormhole. The time sphere shows up, and Booster urges Rip to fallow Supernova when they are rear ended by The Flash (Barry Allen) and Kid Flash(Wally West).

    Booster Gold the greatest hero you've never heard of (or at least that's what the slogan says) visits Jonah Hex and well they have a talk and drink a lot....and well that's almost what this issue is all about

    While this comic is quite entertaining, it fails to give the reader a sense of importance in the DCU big picture because if he fails the greatest heroes will die or not even become what they are, but if he succeeds (and we know he will) things are... well back to normal. Even so it's quite entertaining to see the domino of things in the past that causes everything to happen the right way
