"Time Travelers & Reign of a Cyborg Superman"

Hello again this is my review of Booster Gold #28. I hope you it enjoy it, because I kind of like writing reviews for the Booster Gold comics & other comics as well. I tried not to give away to much & trying to get better at my reviews. Please be kind & thank you. =)
First I wanted to comment that the cover art to Booster Gold #28 looks a little like Jim Steranko art style & I find, that pretty cool. Now on to my review of the story. This is a good starting point for new readers it's the beginning of a new story arc & it tells you a bit about the character, so if you haven't bought the past issues & this is nice place to start. When we last saw Booster Gold he had just stopped Black Lantern Blue Beetle and buried him at the Vanishing point. In this issue we open 73 years in the future and the government is sending etempting to send someone back in time using a project called "Slipshift"... you can't see who it is, because they have a crazy looking suit on. They have a bit of trouble, but it looks as if it worked & with a big flash the person disappears... also it's looked as if the project blow half the building up. We next see a picture of Booster Gold standing tall & looking very cool. He has inner dialouge about his past & what he is actually doing in our time, but how he must also portray himself as a media hound. He is having a small battle with the Royal Flush gang which he fights most of the time & wins all the time, so when he is done he shows off for the news cameras. There is a funny moment where he thinks a kid wants his autograph & the kid really wants Booster to get him Superman's autograph. Skeets ask if he was a bit much & he says this is who they think I am so why not give it his all. He is starts teleporting & relises that Rip Hunter is sending him on another mission. The story changes to Michelle Carter the sister of Booster God looking for a job in Coast city to fix her car, but she is also with seems to be her boyfriend named Drew & she also inner monolouge about herself. She seems to be keeping it a secret from Drew that she is from the future and know something about when she is happens to be important. She is in the past when Superman has been killed by Doomsday & is replaced by four people who claim to be him. Pretty sure everyone has read "Reign of the Supermen" written also by Dan Jurgens & if you haven't pick up the trade. Back to the review... Michelle ask about a job opening, but the owner tells her since the death of Superman bussiness has been slow & she can't hire her. While walking with Drew she is distracted, because she knows everyone in the city is going to die & she just doesn't know when. The story changes to Booster at Rip Hunter's Time Lab. Booster starts joking with Rip & Rip doesn't seem to be in the joking mood right at this time, because someone has caught someone trying prevent the creation of Hank Henshaw... the man who will become Cyborg Superman. Booster arrives at his destination in time & talks about Hank Henshaw: how he was a good man before the accident and evil after the accident. He run into a security guard who ask if he has the clearance to be at the launch site & Skeets tells him as a member of the JLA he has the clearance. He flies on to the shuttle to check things out & says should he let the person change history, because of the monster hank becomes. Skeets tells him Rip wouldn't allow that. He meets the astronauts & again someone say he is not Superman, but we are honored to have a JLA member here. He sees Hank and they shake hands, but Hanks tells Booster how he like someone from the future in the past... it gives hope. Booster ask if he can check out the ship before they launch & they let him look around. He sees someone on the ship & it's the person with the crazy suit from the "Project Slipshift", so Booster confronts this person. He says he understands why they want to change the past, but if they do it will cause chaos in time & he can't allow that. The person says it will be worth it & Booster ask when is she from, so taking off her makes she is reveals herself ( don't know who she is )... Only to be teleported back to where she came from & failed in preventing a change in history. As the crew makes there way onto the shuttle they don't know what has happened & they launch their ship as Booster looks on. He watches as a monster is born & he can't doing anything to stop it, so he flies away not wanting to think about the devastation of Coast City. We return to the past with Michelle & she can't stop thinking about what will soon happen to this city. She see a man walking with a sign that reads " Coast City Is Doomed! Repent!". She tries flowing him into an alley, but he has vanished & she has a bewildered look on her face. A voice tells her she should be more careful about running into dark alleys, because you never not trouble you may get into & the voice is revealed to be of Cyborg Superman. The only words Michelle can say are "Oh my God". I like the start of this story arc & I would have liked to see more of Rip Hunter, because he is a very intriguing character. Dan Jurgens is fantastic he not only wrote a good story, but his and Norm Rapmund's artwork for the book were great as well & can't wait to see what will happen next.
