    Heart of a friend.

Hello again, lol. This will be my review of Booster Gold #27 & hope you enjoy, also hope I have gotten better at this by now =). If I say to much I am sorry & please be kind. Stay stellar!

We open up the story up with panels of Booster Gold's face shocked by the return of " Ted Kord " Black Lantern Ted Kord is about to rip out the heart of Supernova/Daniel Carter, but he sees Booster and decides to focus on him.  Booster still in shock doesn't know if he is or isn't the true Ted Kord. Skeets lets him in on the message Barry Allen told the world & Booster becomes angered by the thought of someone using his friend for this act. He keeps mentioning happy moments Booster & he had together... which is sad & kind at the same time. Rose yells to kill him for trying to kill his friends & this makes ted focus on Rose.  She is kind of saved by Supernova & I say try because he once again is about to get his heart ripped out, so he needs to practice... Big Time. Before he can rip out Supernova's heart... he is hit out of nowhere by the current Blue Beetle/Jamie Reyes & Ted says a few smart remarks about him being the Blue Beetle. He gets rid of Jaime for a brief moment & tries attacking Rose again, but is shot by Booster Gold. This part is kind of funny, because Ted flirts with her while try to kill her & you see how much the Black Lantern rings can make it feel like the real person.  Booster tells everyone to retreat & teleport to Rip Hunter's base, but before they leave Ted says "For everyone I kill... it will be your fault for not stopping me". That made me think about when Booster couldn't help Ted when he fought Max Lord and was killed.  You can read that statment many ways, but for myself... Booster feels it is his fault Ted died & only if he could've stopped him he would be here. " It will be your fault for not stopping me"  ... powerful statement. Ok, Rip is surprised to he them all arrive and show Booster the entire announcement Barry Allen has mad about the Black Lanterns, so that gives him an idea on how to end the fight with Black Lantern Ted. He has an argument with Rip about certain rules on time & leaves to his destination with Skeets and Blue Beetle. Once again look at Rip Hunter's blackboard for very cool clues to what the future may hold & his reason for being the way he is... pretty cool. The destination Booster & his friends go to is Kord Industries, but it's also the home of the "Blue Beetle Cave". Only to people can enter Booster says yet the log shows someone has been there prior to them... I smell a mystery, lol. Sorry. They teleport back to the fight with Black Lantern Ted just seconds from when they had retreated & Booster says his hero stuff, but use a weapon the real Ted Kord designed to blast the Black Lantern Ted. This ends the fight & the ring leaves earth where I do not know. Booster takes the body of Ted to the Vanishing Point which its free of the flow of time & buries him there, so he can finally find peace. Skeets shows Booster a montage of adventures he has had with Ted, also happy times they've shared. He lets Jaime know that Ted would be proud to letting him be the new Blue Beetle. In the end this story is about the love Booster had for Ted & trying to bring peace to his best friend, also coming to terms with him not being around anymore. Dan Jurgens writing was fanatstic and the artwork of Mike Norton went perfect with the story... A+. Peace!
