Brubaker has a story style that really leaves you feeling empty in the first half and loving the second half. Well - this is the best part of the second half. Throw B-plot love story away, throw that feeling of sympathy away, throw that stupid college-boy Victor Von away, and what you end up with is everything DOOM. Doctor Doom has always been interesting for his love of politics (not solely global domination) and this story really does a great job of setting the origin of those feelings with the Revolution of Latveria. Greatly done.
