Okay we've all heard he's star wars greatest badass but why out of the films and the Clone wars series he's done next to nothing that proves his abilities hell he was beaten by a blind Han solo so what has warranted him as the Galaxies greatest bounty hunter?
Yes. His only appearances in the original trilogy were following the Millenium Falcon and standing there looking menacing. He went into the Sarlaac like a punk. Sure they've done more in the expanded universe but from what I've seen and read he's definitely overrated.
@InnerVenom123: Same here I mean his costume is pretty cool and they the suite makes the man but still he really never did all that much now if he did something along the lines of killing a shit load of Ewoks like in the Robot chicken special then I said he's the ultimate badass but not before he pulls something along those lines
Have you seen the others bounty hunters in the movies, the only one who actually do anything is Boba Fett so that by itself make him the greatest of all the bounty hunters :p. He also appear to have the reputation to disintegrate his bounty, he's the only one that saw trough the: let hide in the garbage trick, he got to the cloud city before Han even tough about going there, he collect two bounty for one job (giving Han to Vador and Jabba), his ship is just awesome. Anyway most of Fett feats appears in comics

I'd say the answer to this question is an emphatically strong NO. Boba is certainly the Galaxies greatest Bounty Hunter during the era he lived in anyway, the movies may not show this but the books and comics certainly do, and definately don't make any other bounty hunters look any better then he regardless

The thing is that they underrated everybody in the movies. Vader has killed 4 Jedi Masters single handedly (there were 7 to begin with but one killed another and the clones came in later and actually helped a good deal). You would never expect a feat like that from Vader after getting beaten by Luke who doesn't have as much expierence as those Jedi Masters did. Same goes for Palpitine. He destroyed a ship the size of an entire fleet with just the Force. You would never expect that he had that much power after watching the movie. Boba has killed Jedi and stood up to Vader. You would of never expected that after watching Han hitting his jetpack and sending him into the Sarlacc (He lived btw and escaped). So from the films and what not; yes. But in the EU he is in fact the galaxy's biggest badass.
I dont think he is overrated. He is a badass bounty hunter. He took out two IG-88's. Who were both trying to get Han Solo. He survived the Sarlaac Pit twice. He defeated Darth Vader in a fight and had the chance to kill him.
After reading the Star Wars book, Tales of the Bounty Hunters, Boba Fett shows to be the most enduring bounty hunter of them all. IG-88 comes second as he was consistent in his style, but he was defeated by both Dash Rendar and Boba Fett. Bossk wasn't so great.
