Plot
Kaine,Silk and a bunch of other Spiders end up in Morlun-Land.Peter and Ock(mostly Ock) talk up to Ben Parker to join them in the final battle.They go to Morlun Land for the final fight.
Thank God it's gonna be over soon.
Thoughts
Writing's mediocre,as usual,when Slott comes to an end of an event/story.
This is Spider-Verse.This was supposed to be action-packed,thrilling,exciting and above everything else, fun!!
Well,it's not.....every issue i read,i want,the next one,to be the end of it.I don't want it anymore.
The only exciting and satisfying thing that happened in these issues is Peter beating up Ock.
Peter Parker is Spider-Man.Peter Parker is their leader.Peter Parker hosts these other people in this book.His goddamn book.......and i feel like he's one of the lesser known Spider-People there.....i mean,Ock provides the entertainment,Silk is the perfect person/superhero/everything according to the Editorial,so we should shut up and like her,cause if we don't we're abnormal or something.
So Peter doesn't provide anything!!....he started doing a pep talk to Ben about Power and Responsibility,and it didn't work!.....Ock came in,spoke a tad harsh to him(Ben) and he found the balls to wear the suit again....i mean,is he,useful,at all?.....in his own story!?...Jesus.
Some stuff happened,like Reilly died,again, and i should have read Spider-Verse #3 to remember it,but i have more important stuff to do than throw money out the window.
Silk and Gwen went to Earth 001 (it's a miracle i remember the number of Morlun Land) and they're stuck there,until next issue,of course,when everyone will be there.
Superior found out that Peter is from a later point from his timeline,so that means he lost the battle and Peter came back.That's actually preety interesting,and Ock will do something about it,because the "notes" for ASM14 say The Prophecy is coming to fruition but Superior Spider-Man has something up his sleeve. So yeah,prepare to be either mad,or with an additional 4 dollars a month,to spend for a Superior Spider-Man book.....
Kaine got pissed that Reilly died,turned into a monster,went to Morlun Land,killed Solus,preety easily, and then got killed by Morlun.
This description felt rushed,didn't it?.....so,this is exacly how i felt reading this 1 page(!!!) of how motherhacking Kaine died!!Kaine's dead!
*sigh*
This story is boring.
Boring boring boring.
I would LOVE to love it,and celebrate all Spider-Ness,for Spider-Man's 52 years of existance,etc, but the execution is weak and without a respected impact.....all we get is Peter weeping out,Spider-Men either dying or running away from death....and now they're gonna envade Morlun Land,all together,with the power of friendship,come the F on.
In my humble opinion,it's about time we returned to some simple,more Spider-Man-y stories....street level based,you know.
And it's about time we inserted a breath of fresh air ,in the book, by switching the damned writer,Marvel......
He took Black Cat,destroyed her character, and left her to die in vegetation.
I hope the reboot will fix some stuff,and now i'm actually glad there is one.
And you DO realise that with a reboot coming this summer,all stories from now on,till June, are worthless and meaningless.....so prepare yourselves for some Spider-Island like crap....
