After becoming quite aquainted with the young Jaime Reyes, i would be saddened if he would die. 
At the start of Brightest Day Ryan Choi (The Atom), another young hero died a tragic death. 
Would DC kill two young prospects in one event? If anyone's read Infinite Crisis youd know the answer. 
We know DC isnt afraid to kill just about anyone. The question is, if he dies, will he come back? 
Over the past year DC has been pushing Blue Beetle in to the general media.  
Hes been a prime character in Batman the Brave and the Bold and is also soon be be in an episode of smallville. 
Is this all part of DC's master plan? To get an audience so attached to a character, that when that character dies, we beg them to bring that character back?  
Who knows.  If he dies, many people will be upset because DC has branched out to more minorities and after killing Ryan Choi, this would take another step back.
What we do know is that DC has solicited their comics for March 2011 and on that solicitation list, is Justice League: Generation Lost with a picture of Jaime Reyes dead.

It’s the calm before the storm in issue #21. Beetle is dead, Max Lord has Checkmate and the hunt for Wonder Woman has begun. But Booster Gold has given up after losing another friend to Max Lord, and the JLI is left without a leader!  

No. He won't be killed, BECAUSE of the whole 'Ryan Choi' thing… 
Plus, he's appearing in Supegirl later that month. 
 
So maybe Jaime will die for PART of an issue, but he's sure not staying dead.

Maybe Ted Kord is coming back, to yet again get killed by Max? 

I don't know about Lee but both Didio and Johns LOVE Jaime, so that means two out of three of the biggest powers of DC watching the back of the character.
 
Also Jaime has already "died" in his own series, he was easily brought back by the scarab

I seriously doubt it, Jaime has gotten a small cult following. He's going to be sticking around for a while. 

There is something off since the last solicitations had the same image of Jaime in danger then the next ones kill him and I do not think they would reveal he would be killed and it would be spoiled by the sompany before it actually happens.

If push comes to shove, they'll just be two Blue Beetles if Kord comes back.

Hate to break it to you but they might kill jaime go to dccomics.com look at justice league generation and check the following months I hope they don't kill him

I hope they bring Ted Kord back, I prefer him over Jaime.

To be blunt, I don't really care for Jaime, and I would like to see him go away. 

However, I don't think it's gonna happen.  Now, I haven't been keeping up to date on Generation Lost, but I did see that he appears to be dead on the cover of an upcoming issue.  When last I read an issue, there was like an alternate time-line thingy, in which Max Lord has convinced the world that he is not a villain, or something like that.  Soooo, here's what's going to happen... maybe. 
Jaime dies, but the rest of the characters in the series end up fixing the time-line, so we revert back to what it was before this series happened, and Jaime is alive.

While I'm worried about the character, I think this might be the best of both worlds.  I doubt he'll actually die BECAUSE it's been solicited.  When was the last time a major spoiler was solicited like this?  That makes me think it's a fakeout (hopefully one revealed to the reader, but not the character.)  That said, while I think Jaime will be safe, I can't know for sure, and that uncertainty has really ramped up the tension in the recent issues of Generation Lost. 
 
The recent solicitations make it seem certain he's not going to die.  It says he's going to die in Generation Lost #21 (coming out March 9), but is solicited to appear in Supergirl #62 (coming out March 23).

I really like Jaime and I know he'll come back, due to appearances in Supergirl and Batgirl (go Jaime!) and I feel it in my gut.

Before they started killing her off every other year, she was actually a great character; powerful strong and levelheaded (but not a stiff like cyclops). Then came the Phoenix force...and with that Jean Grey was lost in the "Im married to Cyclops but want Wolverine " drama.  She has essentially become the poster child for the RDOD movement in comics these days; which is tragic because she was an excellent character.

Well lets put it this way... Storm's role/ influence/ authority in the X men and the superhuman community as a whole could very strongly be considered an attempt form marvel to replace Jean (not "phoenix). Im not saying that Storm is/was ever a weak character by no means, but she was never this prominent as the unnofficial "queen of the X men." And considering that Marvel has 50+ knockoffs of her... that should give you a general idea about what I mean

Also IMO: Ted Kord = Best Blue Beetle EVER

Jamie should be the Blue Beetle, but they need to bring Kord back already.
