This one adds to the plot of the overall series, but not the Reach shenanigans. This one results in Brenda discovering her aunt's activities as a crime boss.
When Giganta's hired to kill off the La Dama crime boss, naturally, Beetle has to save her life. They manage to take her down with pressure points, which was kinda cool. Now Brenda has to deal with this new realization.
This is a good, generally light series with a great consistent artist attached. The only problem I have with it, is that each issue makes sure that anyone can just jump in without having too much to worry about knowing. There's a story arc, but it's spread out with other inbetween incidents from the rsult of neccesity. I'm not a fan of these types of things, and it's a major reason I only buy paperbacks instead of floppies, as they're usually made from actual story arcs. If they ever bring Blue Beetle back and the writers make an actual consecutive story arc, I'll make sure I give it a look. Otherwise, I'll let it run it's couse.
Sorry to dissapoint, Linkara.
