Another Special Issue
This time around in this issue of Blood Of Dracula we get 2 Death Dreams Of Dracula. After his death in Bram Stroker's book Dracula is denied peace. He is now trapped in unlife he is cursed to be drawn back to the material world. He witnesses and experiences pain, suffering and evil but always is denied a true death of his own. We also get the next chapter of Dracula 2199. Dracula is resurrected in 2199 and the scientist are the worldleaders. Not believing in Dracula mostof the scientist scoff at something like him. However a dismissed scientist and villagers from Bukovina are trying to find a way to defeat Dracula. Each story is 8 pages long and in glorious black and white.
Death Dreams 1 - We are introduced to a Dr. Stroehmann. He is talking to a class about how to make a monster(sounds like a Rob Zombie song).He drabbles on about vampires. He wishes he could get his hands on Dracula.
Death Dreams 2 - It is Japan August 6 1945. Japanese people are thin and frail. Dracula shows up and bites a female. Unfortunatly he realizes he won't be able to sustain himself on these anemic people.Suddenly Dracula sees the sun or so he thinks He can't feel it but then the bomb goes off and Dracula seeing the horror is afraid for the first maybe only time.
Dracula 2199 - Coming of last issue Dracula invades Scientist City. He is shocked by a new robot the scientists have built. It is apperently bat shaped.Dracula and this monstrocity battle. It chases Dracula back to his castle.Meanwhile Kleigh is searching for Marissa Guldenstern his companion who was thought slain at the hands of the Count. Kliegh reads some data and learns about Marisa's remains and possible role as a vampborg. This thing and scientists invade the castle. Kleigh seems to have over ridden the controls and the vampborg flees butDracula flees with it as well.
The art in this issue was pretty scary not sure I'd read this at night. However It reminds you of history even at it's spookiest.
