    Bad Art good writing.

Art - The line art for the most part is terrible, but there are some glimmers of good lines in here, just not much. The colors are fairly bad as well with every panel seemingly having a filter over it that causes everything to be tinted the same color making nothing in the scene stand out.

Story - Dude from last issue is transferred to another place in the base. Something goes wrong. He escapes and is about to blow the base while at the same time members of the blackhawks are asked to join Cobra... I mean whatever that organization is...It's well handled, having a decent amount of action and story progression, both in the overall and in the arc, without being forced. There are a few moments where you are wonder how that works, but those can be ignored due to it is possible to think of plausible but still ridiculous ways for it to work.

Characterization - All the characters in the book I have a good sense of who they are and what their reactions are going to be and the characters all seem rather well understood by the writer. The one thing that surprised me is schmidt's reaction on the first page, I thought they might be going the opposite way with this character.

Recommendation - Despite the art being pretty lousy it is still a good book. It's easy to get into without having read the previous issues and it does a good job advancing the plot so i say buy it.

It's very detailed but it is sketchy and I really like it when a comic book has lines for shadowing on character faces and everyone else in the book. In this issue we get to see a little bit of what is happening to Canada and Wildman. They are in a high class city that is revealed to be ma...

The Story: Titus attempts to escape the Eyrie…or at least it appears that way at first.  My Thoughts:Blackhawks was a series I didn't pick up initially. I was late to the party and picked up the first and second issues last month. When I read them both I was impressed enough to continue following it this month. Unfortunately the series sort of lost the flare it had. This issue wasn't horrible, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. Mike Costa is the series writer. I've never read anything from him ...
