    Black Lantern Superman has unearthed Pa Kent's grave! But that's only the beginning of the horrifying things he's about to unleash on an unsuspecting Smallville.

    Kal-L is raised from the dead as a Black Lantern, and his first stop is Smalville where he kills the citizens one by one until he finally makes it to the Kent far where Superman and Superboy are visiting with Ma Kent.

    As the two heroes battle the Golden Age Superman, Krypto is busy defending Martha Kent fromThe Black Lantern Lois Lane.

    After the Batman miniseries started on a high note, this is another example of a tie-in miniseries elevating the overall tone of the series, and incidentally again for the same reasons.  I do enjoy the space based action of the Green Lantern Corps, but especially so in the bigger picture of the crossover which is focused primarily on death, it works better here by relating the action to Earth and regular humans, in this case even better than against the Bat-family because the residents of Smallv...

    Because I wasn’t that crazy about the Batman tie-in to Blackest Night I wasn’t really in an urgency to read this issue, but I was pleasantly surprised, manly due to great art work by Eddy Barrows, he does a really good job here, and it makes me wish he was back on Action Comics full time. Robinson is a bit hit and miss with me, but I like the characters used here and the dialogue between them and it was quite an enjoyable read overall. Kal-L & Lois of Earth 2 are the Black Lanterns here, and...
