Blackest Night #4: Terror reaches 100%
This issue deals exclusively with the war on Earth between Earth's remaining heroes and the Black Lanterns. Barry Allen shines as he rallies the troops to make a stand against these unstoppable heart ripping zombies. While it seems as if the heroes could find some means of keeping the Black Lantern at bay, Barry is unaware of the ring's power supply level. As it reaches 100% a trump card is dropped and literally the EArth reaches its Blackest Night with the villain behind it all stands revealed.
Once again, Geoff Johns knows capture cinematic courage in all of his heroes. For all of his difficulties resolving Flash: Rebirth, he does not suffer from the same convoluted difficulties in Blackest Night. Barry Allen shines as never before. His motivating speech inspires Mera and the Atom, heroes always in awe of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman to seize this day from the night. Its fist pumping dialogue.
There's also a few campy moments like when the Black Lantern Azrael walks past a non-emotional Scarecrow who reveals that he feels nothing not even fear except when it comes to a certain caped crusader.
Ivan Reis brings his A-game once again, his pencils commanding especially as the Black Lanterns master stroke move is revealed.
