Watch Black Widow in Action in Latest 'The Avengers' Clip

I know many have asked what can Black Widow contribute to The Avengers? She'll be fighting along side the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Hulk. Her appearance in Iron Man 2 was okay as we didn't really get to see everything she was capable of.

It might be questionable what she can do against alien invaders but clearly she can hold her own. This latest clip released by Marvel gives us a taste of what we glimpsed in the trailer. Now we can see Black Widow in action.

May 4th can't get here soon enough.

Black widow for me is just ridiculous on this team but oh well. And why have the graphics for Hulk taken a step back since the last film he featured in? The more sinewy muscle-defined version looked a lot better in my opinion.

@cattlebattle: I think supposedly she gave him a reverse head-butt, but it totally looked like a hair-whip. I think it was just a bad camera angle.

As someone who has hated nearly every actress's preformace in a comic book role, Scarlett Johansson really impressed me as Black Widow.

I am very happy to see that Wheddon really gave her a personality ! In Iron man 2 she was that unreachable, sexy, unknown chick without any personality. And hell yeah Scar Jo really knows how to kick some butt as Black Widow :D

She's been interrogated but the whole scene is played for laughs. These kinds of things pull me out of the movie. And I wouldn't call BW's characterization strong in here either. She's the stereotypical tough chick who gets captured but then beats a room full of thugs while tied up thanks to plot convinience.

I think Scarlett will do a good job. I would have loved a Russian accent and for her to have a bit more of fleshed-out background like the other Avengers. I'm just hoping she kicks butt like her comic counterpart.

I still can't figure why they replaced Ed, but I'll be watching and I'll probably still like it a lot, because they've got a great cast. I liked her much better in that than I did the Iron Man movie. Wonder how she'll deal with the Loki people, though.

Oh please, please tell me that the movie is not going to focus so much on Scarlett Johnnsson, and yes I will never call her Black Widow, she has rune that character forever.

I want to see more about Amanda Righetti as Sharon Carter.
