@Remi: Why can't she? Now is the perfect time, especially since female newcomers to the comic book world now know of her from Marvel's The Avengers
"She can't handle her own series"
Of course she can. This is probably Marvel's hottest and most popular lady atm and what do Marvel do? Nothing. She could easily hold a book if Marvel bothered to invest in it. But they don't. Look at her last book. They didn't bother backing the book at all, people didn't even know it existed and the (very good) writer was taken off after the first arc and the book was left to just float off and die an unsung death because Marvel have zero interest in actually having a diverse line if every book doesn't bring them their imagined riches.

@Remi: Her previous solo series were all more successful than previous Hawkeye series, sometimes startlingly so. Both her 1999 and 2005 minis sold strongly enough to warrant sequels, and the 2009 mini did well enough to get an ongoing launched, so the idea that none of her comics were successful is bunk. There's no sure thing in this market, but there's no reason for them to give Hawkeye this giant movie-push and not (also) her. More people are interested in her than ever, it makes no sense not to at least give her another mini, or something.

I'm surprised she hasn't got her own series. If DC can do it with Black Canary, Huntress and other women, Marvel could do well with Black Widow.
Put her in Spider-Man's world for a while and then spin her off as a solo series as the Spidey audience would follow her. I guarantee it.
