Shot through the heart
Shot through the heart and Black Terror is to blame. I am not giving much aware here as this is the set op for this comic. Black Terror goes to the grave of a young twenty year old girl (Anne Goetz) who died when he tried to stop a bank robbery and a bullet ricochet off his chest and into a ventricle of the heart.
There is much more story in this comic but this is how it starts. I do not believe there is a comic that actually shows these events they are just remembered. We also know it is recent because her style of dress in definitely not sixty years old. I like this form of story telling that doesn't give us all the gore frame by frame but knows we are smart and creative enough to use our minds to see the story.
I also love this premise. I hate the comics and cartoons with characters like superman who have bullets ricocheting off his chest and knocking down whole skycrapers when ya got to believe at one of these confrontations someone had to of died. We are lead to believe that all the bullets glance harmlessly and the skyscrapers are empty. This comic looks at real word result of that stray bullet and uses it for a springboard to an awesome adventure.
This comic and series are must haves for the reader who wants good stories not the same old, same old we get from other more well known book. I gave this four-and-a-half stars and highly recommend it.
