  So during a G4 Exclusive it was just announced that after issue #512 Daredevil will no longer be the Man Without Fear and the title will become Black Panther: The Man Without Fear.  What are your thoughts CV??

hmmmmm, I'm still not sure what I think about this
because I have no idea what it will entail
but I like the idea of DD getting a new persona and of BP getting some time in the limelight
I suppose we'll have to wait and see what it's all about
#3 Posted by ReverseNegative (2729 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

I don't know what to think.

#4 Posted by danhimself (18740 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

well with the chick Black Panther running around Wakanda I guess that it makes some sense that Black Panther would move to the States

@danhimself:
yeah, and I'm excited about him possibly taking a new role
there's a lot of potential there

I just saw that a few minutes ago. I don't read Daredevil much or even Black Panther, but in my mind I'm thinking: "What?"

I don't know how much of a role change it's going to be...maybe more vigilante style?  plus it kind of looked like he'll have a costume alteration...I'll post the video as soon as it's up on G4.com

@danhimself:
sweet, thanks
I just figure that if he's out of the jungle, it's going to be a big change for him

So it's going to be PD:TMWF # 513?

It's nice they are giving BP another shot at his "own" title, but come on.

So we gonna see Matt dead?  This "DD:Reborn" gonna be BP's intro as DD?
#10 Posted by danhimself (18740 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

so I was going to post the video but it seems that I can't post videos right now so sorry guys

It's officially T'Challa?  I wouldn't have guessed him... but it's not a bad choice.  People DO want him back in an active role.  And her certainly seems to be fearless.

(Bangs head against desk)

I wonder if Marvel have an ongoing competition to see how much they can **** over their biggest characters before people stop reading?

#13 Posted by xerox_kitty (15758 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

Black Panther isn't one of their biggest characters.  He's growing in popularity, but he isn't someone like Spidey, Hulk, Cap or Wolverine.  Most of the non-comic reading public probably don't know about the Black Panther...

Besides, popularity should never be a reason to develop a character.  What would you rather have?  T'Challa as a new Man Without Fear... or still sat around sulking while the women around him do all the hard work.

I was actually referring to Matt Murdock not being Daredevil anymore. Marvel has screwed him over. This is a good direction for BP, but it's a pretty big price (Shadowland).

This is interesting.... So, he wouldn't exactly be Daredevil, then. Right?

Its an interesting move i'll give it that, and i'll say it will fly or flop,
but usually when Marvel actually has the brass to go out in left
field and try something different is when it actually works so i'm
thinking the former.

Didn't see that one comming, I had a feeling it might have ended up being Kraven but Black Panther does put a fresher spin on things

Is Matt Murdock gonna change from DD to BP? What's happening with T'Challa atm?

#20 Posted by IrishX (1703 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

I don't like the idea of a new Man Wihout Fear but they could have done a lot worse than the Black Panther.

#21 Posted by Jubilantlad (318 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

I have never actually read a comic involving T'Challa but I'd say this is rather weird as he is a King? To change from being a King to being a street fighting superhero.

I think they should of gotten Gambit and / or Falcon as they're not currently being used in the Heroic Age.

Currently, he's not the king.

I didn´t like this at all.
To me, in the conclusion of Shadowland, DD shoud recover
his senses and come back to the side of the angels.
I´d liked a little "Incredible Hercules" but there´s no way
I´m buying "Black Panther - Man Without Fear"

#24 Posted by Donovan Montgomery (5263 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

Well, from what is posted above (by Beast-X in case a post pops up inbetween), it looks like after Daredevil:Reborn we may see a battle for the protector of Hells Kitchen.
That should prove intresting.
#25 Posted by ironshadow (1456 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

I don't read Daredevil but I don't like this, I think it should either be Black Tarantula Man without fear or Luke Cage Man without fear or Elektra or maybe Echo who continue the book.

#26 Posted by danhimself (18740 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

also Black Panther has lost everything...their vibranium stocks are gone along with their technology and fortune....Black Panther will be rebuilding himself in New York with no vibranium weave suit or any of his other vibranium gadgets

#27 Posted by Donovan Montgomery (5263 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

I'm just happy they are just making him "The Man Without Fear" and not Daredevil.
Surfer could be the man without fear for all I care, DD is Murdock, if Murdock dies, let DD die.
#28 Posted by romanmjarko (18 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

for me it would be better to make AGENT X as the new MAN WITHOUT FEAR.....

@romanmjarko:
If your going that way, why not slap a red costume with horns on this guy:
Madcap:Man Without Fear?

He's to insane to be afraid.
#30 Edited by Mumbles (846 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio

really Marvel? how lame is black panther the man without fears going to be? Uber-Lame.  this is an joke, right? nobody fears him at all.

LOL. How lame is it to judge the quality of a book that hasn't been released yet? Uber-lame, as well. It's not a joke, either. It's not a question of anyone fearing him (nobody really feared Daredevil that much, save for ordinary thugs, who have also been afraid of Black Panther, too), but being without fear of his own.

Ok, despite my vehement disapproval of Marvel sidelining Matt, that is a freaking epic costume.

As of Shadowland, I have been concerned about Daredevil's future. I think the arc itself is a very interesting concept, but it has had severe repercussions on his character.

#38 Posted by Donovan Montgomery (5263 posts) - 2 years, 8 months ago - Show Bio
@Static Shock:
That does look pretty sweet.
@CATMANEXE:
No kidding??  I thought I was the only one rooting for him, lol

Now what have we learned about comics, fanboys and fangirls?

Nothing is forever

We will see Daredevil "The Man without Fear once again.

My guess is about 2 -3 years
