    Keep in mind that Marvel has been tying all of these Avenger themed movies together. So Black Panther or Namor may not make an appearance in Iron Man 3, but he may show up in one of the Avengers movies, or in one of the various spin-offs. Wasn't Namor a member of the Invaders back in WW2? It all comes together.... hopefully.

    That's awesome, I can't believe nobody has ever noticed this! I could definitely see Black Panther and Namor in the Avengers movies. And yes Namor was in the Invaders team from WW2.

    But what about all the names in X-Men 2, Dr Sampson in the Hulk, Dr Connors in Spiderman (I could go on)?
     
    These little things are just put in to make the films seem like they are set in a coordinated universe but the first sign of the
    producers not liking them, poof, they're gone.
