8th Smartest?

#1 Posted by Wise Son (1772 posts) - - Show Bio

Without going into too much detail, though it wasn't much to begin with, T'Challa has been rated as the 8th smartest man on the planet. This was confirmed by, you guessed it, Spidey in the newest issue of BP (Pretty good by the way). I could see this being true. But just for pure speculation who would fill out the rest of the list? Hank Pym? The Leader? Reed Richards? I'd like to see what you all think?

@Wise Son:
This was also discussed in World War Hulks.

In that arc the rankings included:

Hank Pym

Dr. Doom

Reed Richards

Hank Mccoy

Amadeus Cho

Tony Stark

Bruce Banner

T'Challa

not in the necessary order though

It wasnt until Reed, Doom, Tony Stark, Hank Mccoy, Hank Pym, and T'Challa were captured (i believe, correct me if im wrong) that Bruce stated he is now the smartest hero left in the world

@karrob:
actually, from the way they are treating his clone in FF it seems like Reed think he could be smarter than Reed himself, which has ben really suprising me

@DEGRAAF: Reed has a clone?

What a meanie.

@Lance Uppercut:
Bruce later states that he was lying or someething and that Ademues is one of them or something like that, he was their secret weapon because he was to new for the villains to know he was a threat

@spiderbat87:
They didnt necessarilly do it in order but thats what it seems like, and yes i think so.

@FadeToBlackBolt:
The Leader cloned himself and now it lives with the FF in the baxter building

@DEGRAAF: Oh ok. Thanks =]

@spiderbat87:  The leader just abducted the smartest people on the planet. They never said how the leader got to his conclusions.

@FadeToBlackBolt:
Sorry im wrong it's the clone of the Wizard, Bently 32

The wizard seems like he could be on the list as well

@Loki9876: @DEGRAAF: Guys, the Leader had the Gamma radiation drained from his body by Red Hulk. his intelligence depended solely on the radiation in his body... Unless he got it all back, there's no reason to think that he should be on the list.

MODOK is a man turned into a machine. He's no longer human, therefore he doesn't deserve to be on the list.

I consider Banner as the 5th smartest after Richards, Pym, Doom and Stark. Sure, he hasn't done anything scientifically mind-blowing as the others but how he utilized it when training Skaar and taking down Doom, and creating his own "Banner tech" were quite the feats.

Thats how i felt about Banner's character as well, but i thin he has the smarts to be right up there with Pym and Stark.

How is he not human? during the World War Hulks/Inteligencia saga, he is depowered back to his normal human form? He has since regained part if not all of his mental abilities back

@Static Shock:
Wasn't he recently shown (after the collapse of the intelligencia) to have regained part if not all of it back?

So, he was turned back into a human? Interesting. That makes it even worse. George Tartelton had average intellect when he was a human. Being turned back into a human means exactly that.

Unless he's shown intelligence on par with the people on the list in his human form, he still doesn't deserve a spot on the list.

wow, I didn't think that Hank Mccoy was that smart...

But yeah, I don't see why not

#24 Posted by The_Martian (36984 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-Man should outrank Pym :P

#25 Posted by VampireSelektor (749 posts) - - Show Bio

Eh, I'll take that scene seriously when it's referenced in a non-Bendis(read: Pym-hating) book.
#26 Posted by Osiris1428 (1349 posts) - - Show Bio

Staying true to the character, wouldn't a Pym book be a "Pym Hating" book?

#27 Posted by Hyperlight (5715 posts) - - Show Bio

those of non-human intellects are not eligible for the list

ya know i know that there al smart but they do have specialized fields as well.

Bruce Banner- Nuclear Physics
Beast- Genetics
Hank Pym- Bio-Chemistry
Tony Stark- Robotics/ Engineering

I dont know the rest... correct me if I am wrong
