It started as the American Panther, now it's six-Armed Panther swinging into action. The arachnid infection griping Manhattan hits T'Challa but it doesn't mean he'll stop trying to protect Hell's Kitchen. When Overdrive breaks into the quarantine zone, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Panther swings into a deadly race across the streets of New York City. The Spidey villain stolen that's worth smashing through a hero-protected border but the bigger question is why the lethal Lady Bullseye keeps trying to keep him from getting back out.

Pulp Noir Black Panther, fighting crime with six arms?! 0

You should be buying this book for the gorgeous Francavilla art alone. David Liss' strong script continues T'challa's clean up of Hell's Kitchen alongside a fun tie-in to Spider-Island. Nothing to complain about here. A well written and intelligent hero, given unusual new circumstances, fighting a bad guy or two on rooftops, the artwork as I said earlier really helps sell this story in a unique tone. Seriously, if you aren't reading this, do yourself a favor and pick up the trades. Liss has a go...

Summary and Scans hereThe GoodCharacterization- T’challa’s skills and brains continue to be highlighted which is a joy to behold.Obscure- Overdrive is Lame there I said it! BUT Liss made good use of this relatively new and unknown villain.Set up-I won’t get my hopes up but the inevitable clash between the hand lady bullseye etc vs T’challa could be fun IF handled correctly!The BadTie in- Black Panther in yet another marvel event tie in?
