and when did Dr. Strange take them away? I'd like to know Please.
Black Cat
Character » Black Cat appears in 1399 issues.
Former cat burglar Felicia Hardy became a crime fighter when she became romantically attracted to and involved with Spider-Man. Felicia has the ability to instill "bad luck" around others - this comes in handy when fighting crime!
When did she have her "Bad Luck" ability?
I can't tell you when, but in brief, she wanted powers so she could equal Spider-Man and fight along side him with him without him worrying about her and her life in danger. She made a deal with the Kingpin, they did some kind of procedure on her which granted her the Hex powers which basically made bad things happen to those around her. The Hex ended up being contagious and permenantly attached to Spidey. He notcied things were going wrong for him all the time, went to Doctor Strange for help who lifted the curse also goin straight to the source, it cancelled out her powers. Although, after this, she was left with extra strength, night vision and I think she had small retractable claws. I think thats about right anyway.
I know in some of her first appearances in the Amazing Spider-Man she seemed to use this bad luck power at will. A shadow of a black cat would appear on the wall and something bad would happen, say to a museum security guard or Spider-Man. I'll try to get some scans tomorrow.
