Black Canary # 2 - Living With Sin, Part Two

Overview

Black Canary takes flight in a 4-issue miniseries written by Tony Bedard (52, SUPERGIRL AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES) with art by Paulo Sequiera (BIRDS OF PREY, Gypsy ) and Amilton Santos! The League of Assassins tracks Black Canary to Star City in an effort to liberate the child, Sin, they believe to be the DCU's next greatest assassin. Luckily, Black Canary has other plans for Sin's abilities and future.

Plot synopsis - spoilers ahead

The issue opens with the Justice League taking down Kobra. Green Arrow takes a hit from Kobra and Black Canary comes in and easily takes down Kobra. Green Arrow finishes off with an arrow which on impact, explodes and releases a large amount of glue, sticking Kobra to the wall. Green Arrow ponders, and realises that the both of them were working together as a team now.

In Star City, Green Arrow and Speedy are observing Dinah from a building and Green Arrow says that Dinah's ex-husband, Craig Windrow to come back is bad timing. Sin makes her way to the school, and Green Arrow finds it suspicious that Dinah's ex-husband to have all these connections for Sin to make it into such a school. Up further from another building, Merlyn plans to settle all personal scores with Green Arrow.

Three days later, Ollie, Dinah and Sin are having dinner and Dinah proposes that they invite Craig over for a house warming party. Ollie argues with Dinah, saying that she's always wanted to keep the men in her past with her, but Dinah argues back, saying that she wants to make peace with Craig. Sin then grabs onto Ollie's shirt, and teaches him a relaxing technique that she learned at school.

Two days later, Sin is at school when there's a security alert. Ninjas come in and order the principal to bring her key card and follow them. The ninjas make their way to Sin's learning room and ends up killing the teacher in the process. Sin, angry, beats down the ninjas. She runs out of the school, and the police come, but Sin mistakes them as enemies as well.

Green Arrow comes up in a car and tells Sin to get in and passes her an arrow, which opens up and releases some sleeping gas. The man that gave Sin the arrow turns out to be Merlyn and drives, contemplating the favour Sin will do for him...
