Bizarro #2 Am Better Than Bizarro #1
After the success of Bizarro Comics, DC once again decided to put together a collection of shorts based on DC characters written and drawn by a range of independent comic writers and artists.
It also seems that this project was done around the holidays, as several of the stories seem to reference the Christmas season. The collection is far too large (35 stories and 193 pages!) to give individual story reviews here. Suffice to say, they run the range of styles from humorous to poignant to just plain odd, across the gamut of art styles.
I agree with the general consensus that this second volume is actually better than its predecessor, Bizarro Comics, but when you’re talking about an anthology this large, diverse, and Bizarro, that’s kind of like splitting hairs.
