    Lucas Bishop is a mutant from the 22nd century that traveled into the past, becoming a member of the X-Men, and later, the Uncanny X-Force. He has the mutant ability to absorb and redirect any kinetic energy that is used against him or that is released in his general vicinity. He is the first black male team member within the X-Men Universe.

    I don't think his full parentage has been revealed.  In X-Treme X-Men, Bishop discovered that Gateway is his grandfather (or great grandfather).  And I know that there was a popular theory that Monet was his mother... but I don't think it's been confirmed in the comics.

    What makes all this even more interesting is Eden Fesi's connections to Gateway and then by extension the M twins. I think it shouldn't be Monet thought myself.
