Al Columbia is unlike any other comic creator out there. Unsettling, nightmarish, a master of his craft; Columbia is all these things and, unfortunately due to his sporadic work practices, is probably destined to remain the cult enigma that he has been throughout his career.

Fortunately for you, this means that the discovery of his work feels like yours and yours alone. Join the cult of Columbia and believe me, my warped fellow comic reading amigos, there is no better place to start than The Biologic Show. Although there were only two issues of the series produced, if you can get your grubby little hands on them you will be dragged, possibly forcibly into a world unlike any produced on a comic book page before. Sitting somewhere between David Lynch' Eraserhead and Windsor McKays' Little Nemo strips, Columbias' tales take you into that place somewhere between a waking nightmare and a sleeping terror and weaves narratives whose images stay with you a long time after you've put the book down.

Not easy to describe, even harder to read, The Biologic Show is a unique and amazing read and, if you can get your hands on a copy, is well worth reading.
