Bill Willingham, creator/writer of the multiple Eisner-Award winning Fables series, brings Thessaly - former lover of The Sandman - back for The Sandman Presents: Thessaly - Witch For Hire, a 4-issue miniseries with art by Shawn McManus (The Sandman: A Game of You, The Thessaliad) and covers by poster artist Tara McPherson.
Thessaly - the deadliest of the ancient Thessalian witches - finds herself pitted against a foe she may not be able to defeat: Cupid, along with an ancient and unstoppable monster (or ten) thrown in for good measure. An eerily familiar stranger has been hiring Thess out as a demon killer, but taking all the profits and fame for the monster killings without any of the hard work. Will he survive the consequences once Thess learns the truth? Or will the ruthlessly practical witch finally succumb to the power of love?
