Betty is Archie's love interest along with Veronica. She is Veronica's best friend (sometimes). She is kind, helpful, caring and selfless.

Betty has a much less extravagant lifestyle than Veronica. She works hard to earn money and does chores around the house. Betty is the stereotypical "girl next door".
She is almost always hard up for cash and seems to be opposed to change, once finding it hard to even get her hair cut. Also, she has been able to make copies of expensive clothes such as designer clothes for her own use in low cost. Normally, the stories involve her making a dress which veronica is wearing.

Betty cooper keeps a diary and she has two types off diaries. One type does not elaborate much and is used to fool veronica when she tries to read her diary, while the real diary is kept secret and hidden away so her frienemy will never read it.

Betty has her loving parents, Hal and Alice Cooper and has one brother (Chic) and a sister (Polly). She is the youngest in the family. Her two siblings are never at home and only make rare appearances.She is left behind..

Betty has many admirers but she hardly pays any attention to them. The only person she ever cares about is Archie Andrews and will do anything for him. That is why she is quarreling with her "best friend" Veronica Lodge to fight over Archie.It's been a debate for years whether Archie would marry Betty or Veronica but Archie Comics issue #600 reveals that Archie has proposed to Veronica and started the wedding in issue 601.
Reggie sometimes shows interest to Betty but Jason Blossom has a crush on her.
