Betty Brant started as a personal secretary at the Daily Bugle and later became a top reporter.
History
The first met between [[Peter Parker:char:3113]] and Betty Brant was in Daily Bugle when Peter was employed by J. Jonah Jameson as a photographer. Betty replaced her weak-healthy mother as secretary at Daily Bugle.
With the comprehension to have a weak-healthy person and a common discretion, Betty fell in love with the intrepid [[Peter Parker:char:3113]]. They had several dates. But one day, Bennet Brant, Betty’s brother was implied in a deal with Doctor Octopus. Betty was kidnapped by Doctor Octopus. [[Peter Parker:char:3113]] ran to her rescue. But during the battle between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus, Bennet Brant was accidentally killed. Betty saw in Spider-Man the responsible for her brother’s death.
After this event, the relation between Betty and [[Peter Parker:char:3113]] was more and more difficult. When Ned Leeds had come back from abroad, Betty decided to dump Peter for Ned. Ned Leeds proposed her and she accepted.
When Ned Leeds had been brain washed by Hobgoblin, Ned became violent. That was why Betty fell in the arms of Flash Thompson.
When Ned Leeds was murdered by Foreigner’s agents, Betsy integrated some sort of sect controlled by [[Mister Fear:char:6117]]. Flash rescued her.
During an invasion of Earth by demons, Betty met Ned Leeds’s ghost. After this event, Betty became more reckless and decided to be a journalist. She succeeded to neutralise Foreigner’s agents and discovered Hobgoblin’s true identity. She recorded [[Roderick Kingsley:char:23527]] saying he was Hobgoblin. He was arrested.
Betty found an alcoholic Flash Thompson and decided to dump him. Even after a cure of detoxification, they didn’t succeed to rebuild their relationship.
