There is some sad history there, Indeed. Something about her Image puts me in a daze wish I could discern her "IT" factor.

I think a lot of it has to do with her natural curves and her (usually) fun-loving personality, the way she acted and how her personality came across the camera.  Pretty much a "real" woman in many ways.

Maybe you can add all those images to a gallery in the Bettie Page--page---I wrote?

On You-tube there is a Video of I think an OFF-Camera CBS news interview she gave in the late 80's(?) Anyway she said she looked at the Camera like it was her "Boyfriend" It comes across that way, and the curves do help. Maybe it's the Hair? Don't get me started on the ones I came across and couldn't Post. YEESH! Anyway, greatest.pin-up girl.ever. I will add the photos

Yes, now that you mention it I can't recall the exact name.  I usually have this info off the top of my head because, quite frankly, I am just a bit of a Bettie Page buff.

There was a TV news program that Bettie Page requested to do an interview with, she selected a reporter herself, didn't want to talk anyone else at the time.  I think it was her last interview and she didn't want to appear on-camera.  As you may know, she did her best to keep her image out of the public eye during her later years.  Not a small feat, but people and photographers usually respected her wishes.  Shows the respect she garnered.

Back to the story.  The reporter  was classy.  He didn't say specifically how she looked,  but it was obvious she still "had it going on", at her age, when you saw some side shots of her ( not of her face, though), and how the reporter interacted with her during the interview.

Its her hair, the style, the cut, the dark tresses, the curves, her poses.  A sad loss indeed.  Still, we can remember her and talk about her via her numerous photos and artistic renderings in illustrations and comics.  I regret having sold some of my Bettie Page collectibles, maybe one day I can get some back.  *sigh*

Thanks for adding the photos.   Her page needs more added to it.

I love Bettie Page. She was a pioneer, of sorts. I hope she found peace before she passed away.
