    In the Gold Digger Universe Beta Technology involves devices that operate/exist in more than one phase of reality. A Beta Key was discovered in Civ Alpha by Penny Pincer and used to activate and unlock a number of Beta Technology Items in the Ancient Underground Saurian City.

    History

    Millions of years ago in the Gold Digger Universe, there existed a race of intelligent Saurans (Dinosaurs) on Earth with an advanced civilization.  Their technology was based on being able to operate/exist in two phases of reality at the same time. Penny Pincer  who discovered the City of Civ-Alpha  4 miles below the Nevada desert has been working with and reverse engineering the tech for modern day use with the help of Gina Diggers.  
         The Beta Key was the "Rosetta Stone" used by Penny Pincer in discovering  Beta technology. 
    It's not been reported what is attached to it within the beta phase of reality, but as it's name suggests it can be used to energize, adjust, switch on, unlock, and work things either existing in a beta phase or using beta tech or adjust things on a large scale in the alpha phase using whatever is attached to it in Beta.  

    Apparent Uses:

    1. To date it allows the turning on and adjustment of a Beta Engine that powered an entire city.

    2. Gave access to an inter city stepping disk (teleportation/gating) system in Civ-Alpha.
     
    It has been reverse engineered by Penny Pincer and Gina Diggers to produce other beta devices used by them.
